Photovoltaics made in Belgium
Evocells specialises in the manufacture of photovoltaic panels. The high-quality panels are manufactured in our factory in Baillonville, a few kilometers from the town of Marche-en-Famenne.
The production of photovoltaic panels in Belgium allows permanent and traceable control of product quality. Our raw materials come from world leaders in photovoltaic components.
A panel consists of:
- Photovoltaic cells. We only work with monocrystalline silicon using the latest PERC technology. This is the highest efficiency technology with the lowest loss factor.
- Tempered glass with an anti-reflective coating to ensure strength and superior performance.
- Tin-plated copper and alloyed with silver for the junctions between cells.
- A resin that will hold it all together for over 30 years. The role of the latter is crucial.
- A high-quality black anodised aluminium frame provides strength and durability as well as optimum weight during handling.
- And finally, a junction box with bypass diodes to improve efficiency in case of shading, as well as suitable wires and connectors. The whole thing is sealed with high-quality, Belgian-made silicone for electronic applications.
Higher-efficiency photovoltaic production:
Our monocrystalline photovoltaic panels have a power of more than 400 Wp and have all the latest certifications, such as the latest version of IEC 61215 and 61730. The 2016 version is the most stringent, and few manufacturers use it to date. The production also benefits from an annual factory inspection carried out by an independent body.
Quality is achieved through well-honed manufacturing techniques, continuously trained manufacturing teams and quality control on 100% of the production and not by statistical methods. Each panel will undergo multiple tests before being placed on the market:
- Inspection of each cell during welding.
- Visual inspection of each panel before baking.
- Visual inspection of each panel at the end of the production line.
- Checking the peak power of each panel with a quality calibrated flash every day.
- Electroluminescence inspection of the absence of internal defects (complete radiograph of the panel).

Our environmental commitments:
The manufacture of photovoltaic panels is often associated with good practices in environmental protection. Evocells goes much further; our factory minimises our carbon footprint.
We estimate a reduction in this footprint of up to 10% in contrast to the import of Asian panels. Our corporate purpose also involves the desire to serve society. We want to develop industrial activity in our region and provide jobs that would otherwise have been relocated.
