The Story of Evocells: A Photovoltaics Pioneer in Belgium
From Installer in 2007 to Manufacturer and Installer since 2012

In 2007, Evocells was operating under the name of Finale 24 Condroz and was already a pioneer in photovoltaic installations. At that time, there was already a strong growthin solar panel installations as a result of the Solwatt plan and green certificates.
Initially, Evocells was only an installer of photovoltaic panels in the province of Liege, and had doubts about the quality of the solar panels supplied in Belgium. Hundreds of brands of panels had popped up on the market and disappeared again very quickly. Evocells invested in solar panel testing machines (Flash Test and Electroluminescence Test), and found that the quality was not up to scratch... both in terms of real power and the internal and external quality of the panels. It was therefore important to provide a more reliable and sustainable photovoltaic solution to Belgian customers.

In 2012, Evocells started manufacturing photovoltaic panels from the world of photovoltaic installations, in order to provide "Made in Belgium" products and to offer the market high-performance and top-quality photovoltaic panels.
Evocells invested in production machinery and started the in-house assembly of carefully selected components to manufacture in Belgium a photovoltaic panel with better performance, better warranties and a significantly longer life span.

In 2012, Evocells manufactured 2,000 photovoltaic panels, 16,000 in 2018, and more than 30,000 premium-quality photovoltaic panels will leave our new Baillonville plant in 2022. In 2014, Evocells had a staff of three. Today, a multidisciplinary team of more than 25 people operates in our factory in Marche-En-Famenne.
In 2020 and 2021, Evocells significantly expanded its infrastructure through a major building extension and considerable investments in state-of-the-art photovoltaic panel production machinery. This has also been accompanied by an increase in the number of qualified staff with a wide range of skills. New investments are already planned for 2022 and 2023 in order to further develop Evocells products and services and to increase the capacity for manufacturing and installing photovoltaic panels at our site in Marche-En-Famenne.
